The issue with attendance is not capacity but what public transport can handle,if the gigs finish at 10.00pm can BR cope with getting every one to Brighton station and then home,as we have very limited parking facilities.

30 thousand used to attend the Essential festival over the road at Stanmer Park. Also, Shakedown had a license for 20 thousand with a curfew of midnight. Transport is not the issue.

Any way we could lure those bloody slackers The Cure into doing a gig? Would pay good money to see that at the Amex, though not at the Royal Albert Hall.

As has been said numerous times, the Stadium can be used for outdoor events 50 times a year, only two of those events can be for music, and the maximum attendance at any of those events is currently 22,500 until planning permission is granted to alter that to whatever it is they want it altered to.
