This was a test the water thread,the next step is to form a working group to deal with all the valid issues that have been raised FUNDING, PERMISSION,SUBJECT ETC. would anyone want to be a part of this group? Time for action.

I'm sure the club were given a £75,000 public art fund grant in 2009

Has it been used for something yet, maybe we could push forward this idea to the club?

The horse has bolted on this one, they've already commissioned all the art for the stadium.

Simple answer is to go for something cheaper I guess. For some reason instead of a bronze statue, I have a vision of a set of snapped goal posts. I appreciate this was not from the Fans United day but resembles the era. So a cemented set of goal posts cemented into the floor but with a bit of marble at the base of each post with a plaque. Hell maybe you could allow fans of other clubs to hang colours from it.
