has anyone pointed out that when managers and chairmen start aggressively tubthumping about a player not leaving, this is when the player is sold days later?
gus and bloom have responded with perfect composure, unequivocally. they are not shouting the odds desperately, as some seem to think is necessary, because of the above reason.
'i wouldn't sell that mob a cold' is just the most famous of such rhetoric.
