Dublin, Shipperley, Dichio and Raziak say 'No' to the Albion

I think McGhee's main problem is that he has been here longer than Taylor and Coppell who both did excellent jobs in their short time here. If MM had left last season after keeping us up he would be considered Albion's best ever manager.

I personally don't think there's a manager in the football league who could do a better job, long term, under the circumstances. It doesn't mean I think MM is faultless just that he's got one arm and his leg tied behind his back. We have the shittiest set up in the Championship...and it shows

But then have his public spates with a player and subsequent comments about other players via the press put off potential signings?
Yeah of course it has. No-one wants to play for Micky Adams either do they?

sod being reasonable, the blokes Palace

Probably explains why he's always amongst the first people to offer his support for The Albion, attend mid-week demos at Labour Conferences, etc. Things that he doesn't have to do, being an ex-Albion, Palace c**t.

Also Rasiak is one of the most sought after players for Championship sides so what is the point wasting time going after him?

yes, how DARE we waste all of 10 seconds sending a fax/making a phone call to get a potential quality signing:angry:

Ferguson is renowned for giving bollockings in private, which is how it should be done.

Some of McGhee's press comments are hardly in the name of team spirit.

Not always, and his behaviour during the Beckham saga was hardly exemplary.

Plenty of managers have criticised players in public, not that Im advocating it. Criticising players in public has hardly stopped Souness signing Parker, Emre and Owen, all of whom you would imagine were fairly sought after.

Really struggle to think of that many managers criticising players via the press.

In fairness to Ferguson, he was very critical of both Beckham and Ince, after he had sold them.

Now lets see ...

Ferguson
Redknapp
Souness
Moruhino
Cotterill

to name a few ... the fact that McGhee played under ferguson and moulds himself on him might indicate his nature ...
But that is by the by, let's face it, you hate McGhee with a passion and want him gone. So who do you want him to be replaced with? Lets have a name or names and how we are going to fund it and why it would be better?

Agree 100%. If Mourinho can do it why cant McGhee? Its pathetic, people wont even give him a chance. Im not saying he hasnt made mistakes, but as it stands we are safe.

Hate with McGhee with a passion?

I think that there is a difference between hating and not rating and having grave reservations about him.

McCammon being given an 18 month contract was a bad decision and the fact we are trying to offload him shows that. Fair enough that we signed him, but he was out of contract in the summer of 2005 at Millwall, so take him contract over and if he produced the goods then offer him an extenstion. Instead he gets an 18 month deal, scores one goal of note, gets carried off the pitch at half time on TV due to a lack of air, gets chucked off the bus for falling out with McGhee, frozen out for the rest of the season. This season starts well down the pecking order, but via the lottery selection that McGhee employs suddenly appears at Hull, breaks foot, due to cows arse and banjo syndrome with our other forwards reappears, does not score in the league, now seems to be frozen out again and club desperate to offload him.

Hardly been a success, has he?

Pleased to see McGammon has at least one fan on NSC.

ok, the article says we were still "locked in negotiations with a league 1 player". i don't see how this rules out the signing of this particular player. we didn't reach an agreement last night, but it doesn't mean we won't reach an agreement by the end of today...does it?

Don't Mention The War
Grzegorz Rasiak was always going to be a no-no, we can't compete with Celtic so that's mean Dion Dublin was always going to go up North. Neil Shipperly begs the answer, why didn't we try signing him in the summer instead of waiting untill now to do something about it!!
