He is good for the newspapers and the people who like 'characters ' but not my sort of manager. Sometimes players need a kick up the arse but not to be ripped into in public when they are still young lads. Imagine him managing in the Premier League ? Now that would be funny.

I'm sure Di Canio did this last Season in League Two with Leon Clarke? He really should keep his mouth shut and had a private word with his Player, not publically slate the Bloke in the Press after the game. Foderingham basically was in Goal all season long for them, last season and didn't put a foot wrong. Maybe just maybe he isn't good enough for League One football. Reminds me John Sitton if you ask me.

Whilst I understand the comparison, Cameron did absolutely nothing at all at Brighton. Foderingham kept clean sheets all over the place as Swindon surged up the table and won the league, you'd think he'd earnt himself a litle bit of credit in terms of excusing a poor performance or two.
Just seen it on SSN, the first goal was pretty poor from him but he's left footed and the ball is played back to his right foot. Doesn't excuse him, but seems a massive over-exaggeration. Foderingham's reaction is hilarious though, and the Preston fans will have enjoyed that!

There was more to it than that I think, or so I've been told. I know that Caddis was questioning the match preparation as well, and the training sessions they were doing. He wasn't happy about having to stay and eat with the team after training sessions, he wanted to get home with the baby. I have to be honest, I kind of agreed with Paolo on that one because his point was that a builder doesn't get the afternoon off because he has a son. A shop worker, a bar worker, anyone else doesn't get to work in the morning and then say I've got a baby, I'm going home. He is from a working class background, Paolo, and he's determined his players aren't going to be primadonnas and to a certain extent I think he's got a point. The stuff with Foderingham is totally different and out of order, but I have a bit of respect for his stance about Caddis. Stripping of the captaincy, his squad number and then his place in the squad seemed a bit stern perhaps, but if you're Paolo Di Canio, in for a penny...
