Sussex appear to have 12 players in their side:

LWP Wells, CD Nash, JS Gatting, MW Goodwin, MH Yardy*, AJ Hodd†, KO Wernars, WD Parnell, JE Anyon, MS Panesar, A Khan, EC Joyce

Yorkshire team
JJ Sayers, JE Root, A McGrath, AW Gale*, JM Bairstow†, GS Ballance, AU Rashid, A Shahzad, RJ Sidebottom, SA Patterson, OJ Hannon-Dalby
Match details
Players per side Sussex 12 (11 batting, 11 fielding); Yorkshire 11
Toss Yorkshire, who chose to field

How does that work then ???

Gatting is playing as a substitute for Ed Joyce. He is allowed to bat in his place and Ed will carry on as normal upon his return from Ireland duties

I don't know why we bother with Gnasher, he either scores centuries or gets out cheaply, he needs to be more consistent scoring 30-40 runs an innings.

Er...he's got seven scores above 50 this season. This time last week he was the top run scorer in the 1st Division

my point entirely, going off full pelt like that is ridiculus, he needs time in the middle digging in.

Nice to see Wells scuffing and edging his way towards a 50 (which of course he won't get) as an opener.

It's back on again - 95-2. Wells has his half century.

As for Nash - he's been Mr dependable for the last 2 seasons now and is already on course for another 1000+ runs this year. His natural style is quick scoring so why change -compared to what we saw from Trott and Cook yesterday, I'd rather be watching Nash for Sussex by the sea:banana:
