There is an ocean of difference between constructing an argument about why you don't like Steve Coppell, and calling him an 'Aids Ridden Scumbag'.

As for Alex Ferguson, he does polarise opinion, not least of all because of his double standards. He moans about getting poor press in Manchester, yet refuses to talk to the local paper there, as well as the BBC.

He was berating players agents in relation to Wes Brown, yet his son works as (or for) an agent. He offered support to the Albion in relation to Falmer, as part of his belief in grass roots football, yet criticises those United fans (and these are real fans, the former hardcore) who stood up for their beliefs and set up FC United when the Glazer takeover took place.

His team play to his beliefs and are a joy to watch, yet for many it is a soulless joy, brought about through exploitation of a tragedy and a limitless cheque book.

He is the most successful modern day manager domestically, yet has won less European Cups than Brian Clough, despite being the richest club in the world.

Nothing wrong with Coppell. I think some people may be a little homophobic on here, but nothing wrong with being gay. Frankly its a credit that he has done so well as a manager given the potential prejudice in the game.
