What a lot of woolly-thinking nonsense.

It's got nothing to do with the obvious corruption at FIFA, it has nothing to do with the obviously dodgy decisions in Korea four years ago. However, it has everything to do with the fact that I never saw a decision or a set of decisions go in their favour which seemed biased towards them during the world cup. Not one, and I watched just about every second of every game, something I can't claim about dire England.

You can be as sore about it as you like, you can blame everyone other than the England players and coach for it, but the FACT is that Germany are far better than England, still. And that's with no help required or received from anyone during the 2006 World Cup.

I'm about 70 pages into Tor! The Sory of German Football - really enjoying it. You know a book is going to be good when in the foreward it says "Any inconsistencies in usage that may have crept into the text are there simply to counteract stereotypes about German order and efficiency".
