Lukaku is being linked with most Prem clubs. You really think a guy who declared he got no satisfaction from Chelsea's CL win because he didn't play would drop down a division? Some people are mad. You might have heard this rumour but use some common sense.

some people are mad.....use some common sense?? this is a football forum??

Whilst I agree with you and I can't really see this happening...Why would he not be loaned to a championship team?. If he is not part of Chelsea's plans and there is no chance of recouping even half the transfer fee, why does it follow he would only go to a prem side?...

What with a host of Premiership teams chasing him (Stoke, Norwich West Ham), being able to give the player premiership experience, why would Chelsea send him to the Championship. Plus, the different standard of football making it more likely for him to be kicked around and injured.

These rumours come from over imaginative fans putting the link between Poyet and DiMatteo together with a massive amount of wishful thinking.

(P.S. This not a pop at magicman555, but maybe to whomever started the rumour he has picked up upon.)

Chelsea strengthening say Everton or West Ham would only help their cause. He won't play against them, but he will play against their rivals.

Maybe he could injure Wayne Rooney while with his Premier League loan side before Chelsea play Manchester United. Good plan!

To be fair, if someone had came on here this time last year and said they had heard a rumour we might be signing Vicente, I wonder what sort of response they would have got?

McEachran could be possible.

No. He really couldn't.
He was on loan in the EPL last season and if he does go out on loan again won't be dropping down this season.

EDIT: sorry that was rude of me to be so abrupt. I wouldn't be in the slightest surprised if we didn't get someone on loan from Chelsea but the chances of it being a young player who has expressed his ambition to play at the top level: got to start with Swansea last year: and was in demand from a number of EPL clubs, is remote. It would be a step back for him at a time when his ambition seems unlikely to accept that. Similarly with Romelu. Massively in demand at the top level. If he goes on loan it is incredibly unlikely it would be to the Championship. So yes, a loan from Chelsea might be a good bet, but I don't think these two are likely

A team like Wigan, West Brom, Reading.... (I could continue) would JUMP at the chance of Lukaku on loan, and would pay a far greater percentage of his wages.

No chance. As for Mceachran, still unlikely.

Both players on free transfers NOT two of the best young players in world football.

To be fair the Vicente signing was way more impressive than prospective loan deals for Lukaku and McEachran.

They're decent young players with plenty of potential but it's debatable whether they're two of the best in the world. Vicente was/is a proven world class player, albeit injury prone.

think Lukaku is a non starter, but McEachran (linked with us before Swansea move) is a possibility.

another left footed creative midfielder, assuming we play the loose 4-2-3-1.
I'd stick him next to Bridcutt as one the 2 holding mids when defending but box to box when on the attack, directly replacing dicker (who cant run)/spaz (inconsistent)
