do you know a place called Settle yorkie? we went to the quarry near there, and did a little survey in the town, the only people about were a bunch of kids bunking school outside the nearest convenience store, i think they called us "gaylords" about 10 times now that place was a shithole

I visited Settle many a time over the last couple of years,While living up north and the views are breath-taking From the dales and hills above the town!

Its got character..Like many other northern towns and is Untouched and unspoilt..Like other towns!

So you can stick your survey where the sun-dont shine!

What did you expect...A beach or maybe a couple of casino's with dancing girls outside..You fool!

Settle is right in the middle of the Yorkshire Dales and actually quite attractive.

It is quiet though and I can imagine the kids wouldn't have a lot to do.

it would be a start yeh i'm sorry, but i just didn't like the place, it's my opinion. we visited loads of other towns that i quite liked, but Settle was not one of them, so you shove your breath-taking views where the sun don't shine

btw- if anyone is planning to visit that part of the world soon, try Malham, its a lovely place

All that part of the world is lovely...Unspoilt and attarctive...Very bleak in parts ..But thats all part of the appeal for me!

At last a decent point tommy..Yes i fully agree malham is very nice!

i spent a week in a hostel overlooking malham tarn(a lake) with the hills in the background, which my room looked out onto, unfortunately mr. f***ing cambers made us get up at half 5 in the pissing morning every day so i was usually too braindead to see it properly

nah it was definately in that area, it was a biggish ugly town with nothing there, we had to ask people what they thought of the quarry lorries that were driving through the town

I want to know where the writers of this book, think a good place is. ie a place without a McDonalds, or old people or annoying kids with baseball caps. I suppose their not going to sell very many books by being uncontroversial though this thread would never have recahed 50 odd posts. All I Know is that whenever I go to an away game or to any other town, I always end up thinking how glad i am to live in Brighton

These people are half the reason this town is so expensive for everything...Houses,Food,Council tax.......Its a popular place and thats what makes it expensive....

So the plan is: attack everyone who is not normal and isnt from brighton and kick them out...All these one-armed lesbians crawlin the streets and 3 eyed gypsies can get the hell outta here and lets start paying a decent fair price for everything.
