The Greens are supposed to be all environmentally firiendly yet it was them that put a leaflet through my door pretty much every day, they could have saved some trees and not bothered.

Tories cling on in Rottingdean Coastal to tie it up at 8-8 with the Greens. Lab trailing with 6.

Now 8-all for all three parties as lab nick one of the Cons in North Portslade sweeping both seats.

Not that it affects me directly but the results seem very predictble wealthy areas tory, council estates Labour, student areas greens. No arears for Lib Dems anywhere in the country other than Eastbourne.

This is obviously a generalisation and there will be exceptions.

I love how Brighton is rarely reflective of national results as a whole.

We could very well end up with the country's first Green led council!

And I'm delighted to see the Tories seriously underperforming.

Brighton and Hove is a LEFT WING city and no place for the blue snobs. This election proves it.

If you're talking about Brighton & Hove, then that's nonsense.

At the previous council election, ALL of central Brighton was Green. My area (a leafy suburban area) was 2 Lab and 1 Green.

According to the B&H council website:
Total seats announced so far 22 out of 54, that's eight each for Lab, Cons and Greens

Brilliant.

Tempting though that sounds, I still can't see it.

The Tories are losing seats, but I still believe they'll be the largest party.

We'll see presently.

I'd like to see it, I'm not saying it's going to happen though.

Bt the results so far have been very good for the lefties and very bad for the HoveBorn&Bred's!

Greens now on 13, with Labour and Conservative on 10 each.

Still yet to hear on the three seats of St Peter's and North Laine but it's unlikely to be lost by the Greens...

To an outsider that is how the results appear. For myself I cannot for the life of me see why people would waste a vote on Greens who will never ever achieve anything.

Greens win seat in Withdean from Tories. Goldsmid looking good for THREE more Greens. Add in the almost guaranteed three from St Peter's and North Laine and that's now TWENTY Green councillors.

This is EXCITING
