Actually I would prefer EDL/BNP/NF supporters to be internet bullies rather than parading their ludicrous, and violent tendancies on British Streets.

Thankfully, they are very few in number which is why they need to ally themselves to football clubs. Makes them think they are a 'big' organisation, rather than the pathetic collection of ASBO/Criminal conviction owners that we saw march thru Brighton (must have been almost 50 of them !!!) last year, despite the majority of that march being from outside Brighton.

Not at all But if your going to call someone all the lowlifes under the sun Then you should at least have the balls to do it to their face and they are supporters of the club whether you like it or not

What would that prove? That they were harder than me because they could beat me up? Most of us have evolved a little further than that (although that photo shows there are exceptions).

Do you honestly believe most people haven't been to a demo for one reason or another?

But they HAVE done something wrong - they have used a copyright and a trademark without permission for a purpose for which wasn't intended. Of course they can fly the Albion flag but they can't use it to imply that the club support EDL - that is what they have done.

If you really don't support EDL I would suggest you join as it would bring down their average IQ even further ( and I doubt any of us thought that possible ! ).

By the way this -> . is a full stop - you might want to get your keyboard checked as yours doesn't seem to be working.

does anyone seriously think that that flag implies that the Albion support the EDL. Behave everyone knows that the EDL is about football lads and they are therefore going to put their teams name or crest on it.

When people put their postcodes on fooball flags it doesnt mean they endorse the Royal Mail.

Why not chase builders vans with Albion stickers in the window around and berate them for using a copyrighted logo to promote their business by appealing to other fans. Or even insanely claim that people might think the Albion endorses that building firm.

You can be annoyed that it links your club with something you find unsavoury thats fair enough, but all this shit about copyright and trademark all that is just BULLSHIT and you know it. No one in the world thinks the Albion board have said 'go ahead lads stick that on your flag the whole fanbase hates muslims too'. No normal punters watching the news or picking up the Argus thinks the Albion is a hotbed of rightwing extremism.

People do talk some utter shit on here sometimes if their PC or Snobbery Receptors go off.

Macky, I am just sincerely amazed that you still cling onto this misguided belief that the picture on Getty Images of the EDL holding up a flag with the Seagulls crest on it is ok. I am not pro or anti EDL, I am simply an observer in a changing world which finds this kind of simplistic naivety impossible to understand. The argument is not about how "hard" you are, or "what you believe in", it is about having a football crest associated with the EDL. The club does not associate itself with the EDL, and subsequently the crest should not have been used. End of. To continue to defend the action of this is imbecilic.

I wonder if people on here would be as upset if they saw a woman doing porn Wearing a brighton shirt? Would you all be saying the club should be doing something to disassociate themselves from this. filth?

that it maybe But they have done f*** all wrong

Yes they have, both legally and morally. To use the club's badge you need their permission, that's the law. To use the club's badge to support something that is clearly not representative of the club or it's fans is morally wrong.

Good Morning one and all.I just had to respond to this thread(my first)as cannot believe peoples general intolerence. From reading through i get the impression that the majority(not all)believe that because these citizens have differing beliefs to yours they are somehow inferior and are being branded as thugs, neanderthals etc,etc which i for one find difficult to digest.Basically i believe like spanish, its making a mountain out of a molehill,as Macky says at least they have the front to back what they believe,so hats off in my book.
