What has happened to the £100k that McGhee was going to use for the Orient lad?

Or has that been eaten away by some of our inept loan signings......

Bollocks. I am 99% certain we offered circa £150k for Abbot who has just gone to Swansea from Huddersfield.

:D Beggars can't be choosers, I guess. It would be interesting to find out if we tried and how close we got to signing him. Not that many people would believe the board.

I suspect that Shipperley would be on a fairly big wage and if we have other targets, then that money could be spent on more than one player. He is winding down his career and I suspect Brentford are going for broke as they are bottom and have nothing to lose. Of course, this is just positive specualtion.

But would more thn 1 player get as many goals as him?

Would those inept loan signings include Andrew Whing (most thought he was decent) or Dean Bowditch (very good prospect) or Joe O'Cearuill (excellent prospect)??

True, but then if we have more options at the back or in the midfield, then we could create more chances for our strikers. A midfielder with some creativity, to take the onus of Hammond or an overlapping right back, etc.
