I wonder if they'd consider taking him as an assistant coach in some way or another. It would take a huge amount of heart from Beckham to do that knowing that he couldn't play but I genuinely think he would do it if he thought it would be helpful.

Not read the whole thread, but I'm sure his royal Beckness will be there in body, if only as a representative of the 2018 bid, so he'll be around the squad all the time no doubt - and I hope so too, his influence on the youger members would be useful.
