All over imo, cant see us batting for 2 days to save the game which is looking like what will be required. Bye bye Ashes!
Not even an option, this game is going to won or lost. At the moment it looks like we're going to have a run chase of over 500, so in that sense then yes, we're up shit creek.

we've blown it unless we can skittle them with a lead of no more than 300, but even then we probably won't make that total.

DOOMED:nono:

I'm watching for a bit, but if we don't remotely look like taking a wicket then I'm going to bed, don't want to ruin Oldham tomorrow. I'll be ready for our record breaking run chace tomorrow night :clap2:

Thank f*** for that, Ponting gone :clap2:
Three crap overs lured him into a false sense of security and GBH put a good ball down, caught behind by Jones. Now we need to work out how to get Mike 'Mr binfestbinfestbinfestbinfesty cricket' Hussey out :glare:

He is an annoying little bugger that Hussey, he's one of those players that you have to get out, they tend not to get themselves out.

256-3 at the moment, 2nd innings lead by 285 runs.

Going to be a long slog to get the rest of the Aussies out.

It's bloody hot over there too at present, so it would be pretty taxing being out there in the field, especially on the bowlers.

527-5 declared.

M E K Hussey 103 (156 balls)
M J Clarke 135* (164 balls)
A C Gilchrist 102* (59 balls !!!)

Australia scored 408 runs today in just 76 overs.

The 'target' just 557 with two days and a nasty half hour tonight...

Under cricket rules, can the umpire stop the contest if one team is taking undue punishment, like in boxing?

If so, I think such a stoppage is rather overdue.
