I realize that this was a tongue in cheek remark but at Stoke the front two or three rows stood up hence the rest had no choice. If the likes of TLO want to stand why do they not ask for a ticket further back than row 3.

Better crowds than we get now, certainly, but packed out every week? It was a long time since we got that many at the Goldstone! Yes, I can remember being in a crowd of 35,000 - but that was thirty nine years ago! Things will get better, certainly - but we're not going to have instant sell-out crowds on a regular basis yet
