I can only assume that the veiled racist innuendo refers to MM as we there was obviously no racial problem with Zamora, who was pre McGhee. So why did McCammon come here, having played under MM before, if he is a racist?

We buy 'black' players but most are then shipped out as having an attitude problem. Most clubs do an in depth check up on players, their habits, their good and bad points as regards their standard and way of life etc before signing them. So why does this attitude not manifest itself before we sign them?

Has any other team got a successful youth team without a 'coloured' player in it?

Did you actually put any thought into what you were saying? Who exactly are you accusing of being racist? It has to be someone with a lot of influence if that person is able to force players out of the club. The only people who I would assume have that influence are McGhee and Knight. Maybe Perry? So are you accusing them of being racist?

The case agaisnt Knight and Perry is, well, non-existant. They've been at the club for nine years. If they were racist surely their racism would have manifested itself far earlier than now. They have sanctioned the signing of numerous black players. JEsus, they even keep giving new contracts to them-Zamora, Kuipers Knight. Why would a racist do that? And why would they wait till now to suddenly decide to let their racist nature become visible. So,if you really think about it(or even just think about itfor a second or two) you'll realise it can't be them.

How about McGhee? He SIGNED most of the players that you are (maybe...) accusing him of being racist towards. He even gave Kuipers a new contract and has welcomed him back into the fold. He signed McCammon twice. He exteded Knights contract and Kuipers'. Really, it's ludicrous to accuse McGhee of racism.

So, who ARE you accusing of racism? You're tarring the whole regime with the accusation of racism but refusing to accuse anyone. Why? What's the point? Name some names. No-one likes a racist(apart form the BNP) so name and shame. Go on, I dare you. Name the racist who has the power to force out players. We already know it can't be Knight, Perry or McGhee so who is this racist phantom stalking the club and abusing our players? It's your duty to let us know. i would say that grandad asked a fair question. but i would also think that the problem with any black players was more likely to be 'knights clique'.
it would be nice if ckr could see that mcghee was just trying to do the best for the team and follow his lead. instead of sulking and handing in a transfer request. afterall mcghee has a good track record with youngsters and would surely help improve ckr's career. make him a better player that realises his potential instead of wasting it.

That's the point. It wasn't a question - it was a loaded statement designed to once again smear the name of the club, something BG revels in doing.

Remember, and this is to quote BG, he is very bitter about the fact that Dick Knight took over running the club at the time of the Stanley/Archer/Bellotti nonsense. BG himself tried to put together, or was at least involved in some way, with a consortium at the time. Suffice to say, it was a completely shambolic joke, and, thankfully, nothing ever came of it. But this doesn't stop BG's resentment towards someone who took on the responsibility of something he himself believed he should have had.

As regards the consortium that I was involved with I was annoyed that it didnt buy the club because they had the money to build a new stadium without borrowing and strengthen the team so yes I am slightly resentful but that is now water under the bridge and I am no longer in contact with the persons involved. So I hope that this can now be dropped as that side of life is totally irrelevant and past.

People seem to want to have a pop at me like Ned and the play off money story. I will not betray the confidence of my informer but suffice to say it was from a very high and reliable source who asked me to post it. As far as I am concerned that is the end of that subject I shall never answer questions or mention it again.

What I suggest, BG, is that next time this 'supporter' asks you a question you take a little bit of time to think about the answer before you relay the question to the world at large. You are correct I shouldn't have said 'am I the only person' when I knew the answer.

I think that there are a number of people who have formed this opinion. I think Harty stopped somebody asking the same question on one of the phone ins but rightly or wrongly I assumed that most people on here would have a view because it has been hinted at on many occassions but not directly asked.

My own view is that I believe that the boot is probably on the other foot and that it is probably the 'clique' that is reputed to have existed during LK period that has bought about these thoughts.
