Its about RUDDY time the Withdean crowd showed their appreciation of what Dean has managed this season.

Seventh in the league was beyond all reasonable expectations pre season and he has done it while losing key players AND his captain.

Perhaps a day for the moaners to BUTTON it and the crowd to get behind Deano for once eh?

But we missed out on promotion or the playoffs. So TECHNICALLY he has failed.

I always go into the season with the expectation that we will either win a cup, get to a playoff or get promoted automatically.

Unfortuately in my 34 years of supporting the Albion that above is few and far between but it doesnt stop me from being the eternal optomist.

Too many of our crowd are quick to get on the backs of our players. I don't know if our '12th man' is too cynical or jaded, and the stadium is what is blamed for the poor atmosphere. That wears a bit thin when people blame the lack of a roof for the lack of sustained support.

Perhaps the whole crowd could actually stand, and see if that will muster a bit of a cheer for DW.

Come on Fatboy Slim, make a "put yo' hands up for Wilkins" mix!

Surely you need to swap the word EXPECTATION and replace it with the word HOPE.

We're not Chelsea.

you adjust your expectation to to the division and the opposition. I truly felt that this year, we had the team and the division was so poor that playoffs was the least we could have expected.

My expectation next year is that my expectation for this year will be realised and we will be promoted........I am not one of those...." Oh its all doom and gloom and therefore the only thing we can hope for is to avoid relegation" merchants.

If we do not get promotion or playoffs next year then I will be looking to BOOOOO the manager

:p:p:p:p

DW undoubtedly deserves some serious credit for what has been achieved this season and it would be nice if our fair weathered and fickle fans could actually show some serious appreciation.

The numpties on here who are so quick to jump on his back could learn a thing or two about humility and patience.

The problem for Deano is now to sustain the progress for next season but for the time being let's appreciate what a good year we have had :albion2::albion2::albion2:

Who knows. The fans may actually sing a SONG for Dean.

God knows they were happy enough to sing 'Drinking pints of whisky...' enough...

11 places higher
18 goal difference better than last year
9 more goals
13 points so far more
7 more home wins
3 GREAT signings in Forster, Murray and Whing
and a Semi Final!!

:clap2:

But from what base are you coming from ?. 7 more home wins, I would bloody well hope so as the record last season at home was the worst since the 2nd world war. 12 home wins is a minimum bench mark for any side in this division, 9 more goals but still scored less than 60, 13 more points but again from a very low base, 7th at the end of the day means absolute NOTHING Brett

Base that it is a great improvement, at the end of the day we won nothing, which is the same as 22 other teams in our league, I am just happy we improved and look like we could get stronger.

Just giving the man a pat on the back for his 1st full season in charge of a professional football club
