For me the central midfield is kompany and ireland so johnson is going to have to fight it out with elano but am sure he will get game time in a rotation kind of way

I disagree the way ireland is playing elano and johnson wont get a look in but he will be good cover as for players better than him we have wright-phillips,richards,petrov,robinho,elano to name acouple who are better than johnson

Am affraid johnson will only be given a run now against weaker teams and the same with ben haim and even elano or ireland is going to have sit on the bench for petrov when he returns and this is going to get worse for them in jan

A bit of triva for you a record was broken last night when 18m brazillan Jo steped onto your turf he was the most expensive player to have ever done so, The previous record holder was the long-throw specialist Rory Delap while he was a £4m Southampton midfielder

I see what your saying about our fringe players being internationals and its a good point most of them would start for lower EPL sides and as hughes said he put a strong side out but i think hes mistake was to field players who havent played a lot of football this season yet and not fully match...

If you mean Zabaleta alot of players didnt perform last night for what ever reason, did your style of football just bambozle them? was it your players not letting us play? did we just think we just had to turn up to win it? i have no answer  not that i could see much from the away end...

Reserve might of been a bit strong but if there not in our normal starting 11 thats the way i see them i think fringe/ backups might be a better way to describe half of them, with irelands recent form he may just force elano out of the starting 11 when petrov returns hes looking like a good...
