Yup, when I finally got one six months after joining.
It had mistakes in it, such as "Your notice period is 3 months. For every year of service after 2 years, this will increase by one week, to a maximum of eight weeks notice." Like that makes sense.
So I returned it with the mistakes...
Quick question, which hopefully the collective knowledge of NSC can help with.
My company has just given us all a 12.5% pay cut. But even though they only told us today (Oct 8) they said it's effective from the start of the month (Oct 1).
Is this legal? Can they backdate a paycut?
Why not put Mandelson on a ropey old wooden tub and send him off to discover The North West Passage. Or Canada. Or just chart some bit of obscure coastline.
Imagine the public rejoicing when he returns after 4 years with... The Potato.
That'll put an end to all this credit crunch doom and...
I went to the rearranged York City game, after the first one was abandoned due to the pitch invasion. It was played at something like 11am on a Tuesday (I think) to prevent more 'trouble'. Can't have been many of us there...
The more upmarket supermarkets (Waitrose etc) sell tubs of chilled stock, which is a good if slightly expensive compromise between cubes and the faff of making your own.
I remember going into the toilets at my old company once, and walking straight back out of trap one as there was wee all over the floor. Sod that, I thought, I'll use trap two.
On my way out, I passed comedian Lee Evans on his way in. He was in the company that day doing some filming for a...

– The machine takes approximately 14 minutes to spew these out one-by-one, in particular deliberately...
Absolutely.
Likewise I am often confused when people are unhappy that I'm only prepared to pay them 17p for every £1 I owe them.
For example, this woman in Barnados started crying when I bought a second hand suit for £20 and only paid her £3.40. What IS her problem?
God bless David Conn, he's like a terrier with Bates' trouser leg in his teeth who won't let go. I find his pieces hard to follow, but that's the nature of the web of bullshit weaved by Bates.
I've always found Bates uncannily similar to Archer, not just in looks, but also the way they use...
Marvellous.
Though I did spend ten seconds hovering over the link wondering if "JSFW" was some new variation on 'not safe for work' that I wasn't hip enough to know.
And aren't Sunderland genetically programmed to perpetually yo-yo between the Premiershite and Championshite anyway, regardless of who manages them/plays for them?
