He always seems to be in exactly the right place at the right time when defending corners or freekicks. Leave the defenders to pick up the attackers and then Murray will plonk himself in the right place and nonchalantly head it to safety, lovely to watch!
Spot on. The goals, the hold up play, his aerial ability at both ends of the pitch and the penalties he has won (even if we did miss most of them), will be so difficult to replace without spending the cash El Pres alludes too. Will be gutted to see him gone. Murray and Bridcutt are so important...
Maybe it was a consequence of our passing philosphy this season, Poyet has said himself something along the lines of losing possession being the ultimate shame for a footballer. Of course there is a time and a place for hoofing it as far away as possible, but I reckon Calderon thought he'd found...
Next season is going to be AMAZING. Look forward to battling with Saints again, Pompey, Palace, Leeds, Millwall, Forest. Just so exciting to know that we can finally compete on a level playing field with all the others again.
Maybe not this season, but they have the support base, finance and infrastructure to strengthen and improve next year. The great thing is, we do to
I do think people put too much weight behind the Pompey/Watford wins. Pompey were down to ten very early on and Watford played their reserve midfield. I am not saying there is no merit in the results or that we'll struggle next year, just that they shouldn't be looked on as clear indicators of...
Still means Chelsea and Arsenal can't afford to drop any other points though. Arsenal's double capitulation in a few days means I have written them off. Chelsea are looking ominous though and if Torres does manage to locate his scoring boots then I think they may well stand a chance. Amazing...
Don't be so stupid, do you really think a thread on a website about betting on Brighton to win is actually going to have the slightest affect on the result??
Everyone know's it's how the Official Match thread is worded that decides where the points go for that particular game.
Barca's squad is very small compared to Real Madrid's though, would be interesting to see total wage bills as I'd expect quite a big difference between the two. And as Simster says, most of them are reigning World and European Champions, so if anyone deserves that kind of cash it's the Spanish...
Bit of a non-story unfortunately, he's never going to say anything other than "yes I'm staying" with games left to play this season and also at a kids party
