I suspect that there are (why wouldn't there be - there's a bigger pool to fish in), but the dirty business of party politics prevents them from rising to the top, or puts them off from even trying.
Maybe they would have more opportunity to shine through in a less partisan, elected head of...
An example from the past, but Mary Robinson was (and still is) awesome.
Her Presidency was transformational for Ireland.

I supported Corbyn, but was fully aware of his many flaws. Most important of which were how weak and isolated he was within his own party, the fact that decades of rebelling made it very hard to enforce discipline, the failure to deal early with ant-semitism, the lack of experience he had of a...
I secretly hope that Chris Woods will live up to the national stereotype of New Zealanders - a bit odd but genuine and decent at heart.
And his plan is to take the money and then do f*ck all - thus killing two birds with one stone. Getting the Saudi's relegated and stashing his funds for a long...
Dubai
Sunshine = unbearably hot a lot of the time outside
English speaking = rich bits are part of a global monoculture, where english is lingua franca but the majority of people that live there will not speak english (see below)

I would not have been averse in principle. A potentially useful option. But we couldn't, and (rightly) wouldn't match the wages offered by Geordie Arabia. So, No.
Also agree about Burnley. I'd be very nervous if I supported them. Everything in place for a Bolton-style plunge.

There has been a strategy of working aggressively, and with zero thought for anyone that gets in the way to protect first Phillip and now Andrew for many many years with the full...
This is all well and good...but now I am stuck trying to work out a way for your sister-in-laws husband not to be your brother... what am I missing...polyamourous? Am I being stupid? Or is that just a way to refer to your brother because you don't want to be too closely associated?
Ah so, you are distinguishing between 'anit vaxxers' - who actively work to disuade people from getting vaccinated
and those just 'unvaccinated' - who maybe believe some of the myths, but don't propogate them.
In which case I agree. Thats's a clear line to be drawn and people treated...
In many cases yes.
But at the clinic where I volunteer we still have quite a few people of all ages coming in for their first jab.
Easy to assume that everyone gets the same level and content of news and informaton that most of us do, but that's not always true. People with poor english and/or...
Swansman can fight his own corner, but while it was a clumsy analogy, there is a point to be made there I think.
I have been pretty vocal here, and elsewhere about my views on anti-vaxxers. I think anyone that refuses vaccination for non-medical reasons is doing something stupid and...
Massive tax haven. Built on oil, exploitation and oppression. Run for the benefit of a few ultra rich individuals.
Across the world countries and cities have festivals of culture, music, sport, art, food. In Dubai they have 'the festival of shopping'. Which tells you al you need to know...
In the past I liked Newcastle and their fans.
But having watched their glee and celebration at having their club bought by the Saudi's, wearing tea towels on their heads and waving the Saudi flag whilst singing about beng the richest club in the world etc etc. Watching Shearer trying to paint...
