Frank Nouble of West Ham is apparently being chased by both Norwich and Swansea for a loan move. Would free up two rumoured targets, Kuqi and Johnson.

Poyet on the Argus site says a couple of deals depend on other clubs. Could be referring to Norwich bringing in someone to free up Johnson??

Also another interesting note will be to see if Mjondalen manage to sell Erik Midtgarden while the windows are open. Apparently he's on a free in about 2 months time - well no transfer fee anyway.

Vital player for us at the time and his departure was a big factor in us rapidly turning into a shambles under Case. Wasn't adequately replaced until we brought in Crosby and Cullip years later.

Great signing, technically a superb player. Could build a side around him.

Reckon Wilkins would actually do a good job for them. Apparently general opinion from virtually everyone who deals with Pardew is that he is an utter, utter c*ck who surrounds himself with a few lickers. Would seem Wilkins wasn't considered one of them thankfully.

No idea but seemed pretty certain we are in for him. Personally I think a load of deals will go to the wire. Read today that agents are franticallly setting up contingency loans in case their players don't make premiership squads - problem being most managers will not loan out to other...

Just a friend who has occasional dealings with the club, normally pretty accurate. Would seem to fit the profile, similar to Scott Sinclair who was the number 1 target apparently.

Heard just now that Oli Johnson from Norwich was down for talks, no idea if we are looking at a loan or permanent deal though.

He's the obvious one. Apparently we missed out on Scott Sinclair but matched the offer from Swansea. I think we will push the boat out for the right player.

Vale fan I know reckons Rob Taylor has been targeted by a couple of league 1 teams. Wouldn't be suprised if we were interested as he can play anywhere down the left hand side.

Done it with a stonking hangover and it was well worth it. Haggled and asked around for tickets on the strip and got a good deal, hotel limo pick up, helicopter descent and lunch in the canyon. Think that was about $300 each. Bonus is they put the lightest in the front (getting the best view)...

Would estimate he could be earning in the region of 20k a week so no chance.
