    The Grand Hotel

I think certain times bring out the worst in places, such as a bank holiday. I've had times like that mind you, coming down from Brighton station and seeing alot of pretentious attention seeking twats out and about, making me think, I can't be arsed with Brighton anymore. Then I'll come down...

    The Grand Hotel

I agree with you, the fact there is actually a nice new library where there just used to be a massive derelict site is also something to be added to the list. If only Brighton Centre/Kingswest building had been demolished a few years back.

Euro poll latest - BNP down to 1%

14 votes???? You'd assume Patrick surely had 13 other people to tell to vote for him???

    The Grand Hotel

I disagree mate, I don't think Brighton has gone downhill. It's that problem of nostalgia, when you are away from somewhere for awhile, it always seems better in your memory than it actually is when you return!

    Justice for paxton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think for sadness, this dull Spurs fan will take some beating. It does get more stupid on here in close season, but he takes some beating.

    Will KEANO score tomorrow?

No you'll have to try harder to find things to do to keep your sad little brain occupied when you get banned off this forum. It's only a matter of time, and I got news for you, your fridge is all out of Ribena too, kid.

I think the kids must have broken their crayons so they are spamming the board and reinforcing their own rumours which are about as likely as pigs flying.

    New keeper wanted from Argus

Exactly, part of the reason we went back up in 2003/04 was due to the solid nature of our defence, with Roberts behind the Cullip/Butters partnership. I don't seem to remember conceding many at home(apart from that dire 4-1 against Bristol City) so I think Roberts kept alot of clean sheets.

Will you be voting on June the 4th ?

Didn't Amery spend most of his time in South Africa? That's the problem with our system really, back in the day when Pav was a safe seat, it meant the Tories could put anyone up and win, even if they were never about. Much the same as I'm sure Lab can do in their heartlands. The lack of...

I just meant that however you definie democratic, the EU inspired project since 1989 is far better than 1918-39. I am aware of the many mitigating circumstances but it is the only past example we have to go on. And I meant no criticism of the Poles, I know it was only a small percentage of...

anyone see the real socialist labour party broadcast

I agree but it is certainly an improvement on any of those countries previous records. For example, the Poland we got into WW2 for was heading down the road of anti-semitism without Berlin's prodding. And surprisingly, in many of those countries, reformed Social Democratic parties have indeed...

You can admit however that the EU has done some good? The incentive of EU membership and the conditionality applied helped the democratisation process in many of the central and eastern european countries that may well have gone the other way if it wasn't for the influence and example of the EU.
