Maybe in looking at car parking allocations coaches and mini-buses need to be considered. There looks to be a lot of these coming in with pick ups from all over Sussex and Brighton area plus away fans transport along with the park and ride buses, which will take up most of the allocation of on...
Media reports coming through of an estimated 12,000 crowd. Maybe considering timing in the day, the fact we have had a month of celebrations already and the route being a few miles long it is not going to be royal wedding proportions all along the route - but hopefully where it really counted...
Rather than plan it out now maybe best to wait until nearer the time to see what options are available, times and susidies. There will be a good number coming from the Hastings area and the train, car sharing, park and ride or coach options will all be a little clearer nearer the time as...
So it was the real Ashley Barnes in the Albion Kit and Barnes on his back - he looks so different after 7 miles of up hill running!!
Was the only one of the near 5,000 runners in an Albion shirt. I was part of the noisy lot near the hospital.
Have not yet found anyone with a presentation appointment later than 15th Feb, so looks like the STH presentations close next week w/e 18th Feb. Then maybe it will be contacting any STH's that could not attend a presentation to give them a chance of purchasing, before announcing the details for...
So with Dick Knights Mumm and Simster leading the singing in the East - sorted - noise from all four sides of the ground, providing the away fans turn up!!!
Brings back memories of the Goldstone late 70's glory days when we had both the North Stand and South Stand (NTR) as singing ends, with possibly the South Stand edging it, well for one season at least!
As you say Tom - Game On, should be good. Now, how can we get the East Stand singing as well?
Mine is the 14th Feb and have so far only seen one poster who had a later date by a day or two, so looks like w/e 18th at the moment unless anyone has a later presentation?
While on about presentations and West Stand availability has anyone else got a presentation on 14th Feb or at an even later date - or is the 14th the last ones?
Sure a nickname away from any more official title will come and grow in popularity - may already be out there in small beginnings - already heard "The Seagull Nest" or "The Flying Saucer" type references, but yes could even remain as just Falmer. Also agree the Chalk Pits is not a bad place...
It will need to be ready for July as run-up events of various sized crowds have to take place before the first full league match can happen. Some delay time factor has been built into the schedule, but at the moment there is nothing to worry about the stadium not being ready on time.
Take care and look after yourself - need to be fit for what could be a very exciting seasons end and for many many years at the Amex. Also thinking of you Laura and the rest of the family at this time.
Dates are a legal requirement and also as a result of pressure from the supermarkets on suppliers. As many have already stated for certain foods it is vital and these food stuffs are covered by a use by date and these are best sticking to. While a Best before date is just a recommendation to...
Maybe for many there is a health reason why they would choose a gluten free mince pie and therefore cannot avoid - but agree they are not as nice as the wheat pastry version. In fact this year had a mince pie from a plain Asda pack with a short pastry and stacks of filling, you can even taste...
The good thing about the appointment is that he gave us massive publicity as a club and gave us the genius in player spotting that was Peter Taylor (1). As for Clough himself he turned around the season that looked rather shipwrecked after being thrashed by Walton & Hersham and Bristol Rovers...
Trouble is if you want to support a successful club that is one of the drawbacks as more and more supporters/football fans will also want to watch. When the team is rubbish matches are a lot easier to attend for the casual home fan or exile. When success comes there is no last minute booking or...
