Playing Navas against Mbappe? What was he thinking? Like when we played Milner against Doku away at City. Everyone knew it would be a car crash before kick off and it was
Fenerbahce trying to cash in whilst his stocks at its highest… not our usual style, would be surprised to see this one happen, despite him looking great
with respect to Livingston, if at 20 years old the best team we can find that wants him on loan is in the Scottish Championship, he’s clearly never going to play for Brighton. Whats the point in extending his contract?
Reverse it and see it this way. Would you be happy if we spent 25-30m euros on a striker and them sit on the bench getting 15 minutes a game if they’re lucky? I’m going to assume your answer would be no right? As for that sort of money he’d be a starter.
Undav wasnt/isn’t/won’t be a starter...
we do seem to make it awfully hard work just to support our team. Especially trying to attract ‘new’ fans to get them into the stadium rather than on their sofa. It all just seems a hell of a lot of hassle for an (overpriced) ticket.
So your solution is to keep Igor because he’s left footed? Are you forgetting that he’s got the agility of a cruise ship? That he runs like he’s towing a lorry? Or that he’s generally just not very good? Sell now whilst there’s abit of (rumoured) interest from Italy.
I was delighted when he signed because of his pedigree and experience… I do still think he can come good, showed glimpses. I genuinely think he’s a better version of Gilmour. So him with Baleba in the middle with Wieffer playing the CB/CM role could be exciting.
Personally I’d like to see Webster and Igor moved on and replaced with 1 big signing at Centre back. I’d then keep Veltman.
That would leave: Dunk, JPVH, New CB, Veltman for the Centre back positions. Would also say Pervis could quite happily play the left centre back position, with Barco at...
Trying to think of any other player in world football who’s two most commonly played positions are full back and attacking midfield 🤔 I think it sounds great!
Only one who’s close I can think of is Zinchenko who plays LB for Arsenal and central midfield for Ukraine
Signings predominantly for the U23’s we tend to give a maximum of three years… 4 years perhaps suggest Fabrizio is right and he will be part of the first team squad?
