Why is the disgusting homophobic abuse acceptable ? - West Ham SCUM

Have we heard any comment from any gay supporters? Although we're the only club affected by homophobic chants, homophobia is rife in football, all the way down to a grass-roots level. Brighton could make a stand on this. For any progressive minds, worth reminding yourself of this by Martin...

    Barnes out hoskins in... Please

I think the focus should be less on criticizing Barnes per se - he has been an admirable player but even his biggest supporters must see he some real shortcomings - but discussing what Hoskins can bring to the side. I agree with the threadstarter, that having watched Hoskins playing for Rovers...

    Ashley Barnes - Your opinion

I see Barnes as being a strong squad player. Last year he had a knack of getting himself into goalscoring positions. This is no ineffective thing - look at kevin phillips. I think hoskins has more rounded qualities, but Barnes will prove to be an effective super-sub.

    5 live coverage

What's everyone's view of the 5 live commentary tonight? Personally think it's been pretty good. Good analysis and have unpicked our game plan well. Whatever you think of SC he does know his Football League.

    Glenn Murray living in Brighton

saw him in sainsbury's at the weekend. can't say i felt that much animosity towards him once I'd spotted him and called his name, so just wished him luck and shook his hand. He did look a little sheepish, but he's a shy lad anyway so that may just explain it.

Big hand to the Leyton Orient fans.

Give them their dues - they came down and supported their team sitting in the worst position to see a game of football in the league. And lets get real folks - we've played Orient season in season out for years now. It has turned into a bit of a grudge match for many supporters, which whether...

    Todays Ref!

Had a very good game indeed, but not a hard one to officiate. Liked his comment to Tano when labouring to pick up the ball...'you're not that old'.

    Player ratings vs Orient

You referring to Bridcutt?? Think he had a fine game both today and against Charlton. Very good in the challenge and kept the ball moving nicely.

Liam Bridcutt - Signing of the season?

Played well today and on Tuesday against Charlton. Can sit in front of the midfield, but also has the ability to bring the ball forward which may gives him the edge over Kish. Still young of course so can only see him improving. Certainly worth signing up on longer term contract.
