Make no doubt about it, if we had wanted to keep Stockdale we would have. Given we are prepared to splash out 5m on Ryan plus his contract there was money for his wages had we wanted them. Excuse pun, but his stock has been overrated by many on here. The numbers at Birmingham won't be that big.

Surely it's Bobby Smith. Was a current England International, had won the double with Spurs the previous season (being instrumental in that) It is the biggest coup in the club's history

Thanks - I just think he would fit the bill in terms of age, experience. Naturally know nothing about the guy but to rise up the ranks of English football to become a stand-out performer for a top flight team takes some doing. There will be demand for him, but a realistic one.

Would fit the bill in my opinion to play alongside Dale.
