    Favourite beer?

I like a lot of Ales but the one I will always enjoy having a drink of is London Pride. Timothy Taylor, Theakston's Old Peculier, Director's are also all nice drinks, though I tend to like most Ales.

    Should police officers swear?

I'll be honest I didn't see the very beginning of the programme so can't comment on this. But sorting out drunken arguments/fights every week must be a nightmare.

    Should police officers swear?

I thought the complete opposite. They made a great point that when they were younger they wouldn't even dream of swearing at a police officer; exactly what I was like as a kid. I'd say it's more prominent now of younger people (not all of course!) not to have high respect for the police.

student lock in, at sussex uni?

They had a few 'ocupations' last year as well when I was there. It's mostly just a group of Socialists, many of whom believe that university education should be free. They want the Vice-Chancellor to condemn the proposed increase in tuition fees even though he openly said that he would want...

The best Chinese take away in Burgess Hill

Always found The Emporer to be the best takeaway (behind the cinema) Tim Leys (lower church road) is also very good, and has improved a lot over the years (e.g. less greasy) I haven't tried takeaway at others though. Wok Inn does good food in their restaurant so might be worth trying (they've...

    How thick are students...

OK, well I wasn't at the front of it all so I don't know first hand. Problem with such a situation is that the aggression from some protesters feeds into the police defending their position. Especially if they see their fellow colleagues getting smacked about by some idiots. The Met were...

    How thick are students...

I'm not surprised they were heavy handed. I got to Millbank just as people started storming the building (which for one entrance was very comical as it was a revolving door, so they had to go in one by one!). A hundred or so protesters had got into the lobby, a sofa had been pulled out and...

    Modest-sized rant: Tony Pulis

Well FIFA are fools then! But yeah such a technology would be useful for that.

    Modest-sized rant: Tony Pulis

Silly idea from Pulis. On the theme of rules, they should have the 10 yard rule introduced for any back chat or slowing of the play. The number of times you see opposition players hold the ball after a tackle or have a player stand in front of the ball to stop a quick free-kick, is ridiculous.

    FIFA: Fraudulent Idiotic Farcical Arseholes?

Sepp Blatter: ""Who is benefitting from this situation and who is being harmed, we are asking ourselves why did it happen and why did it happen specifically by English journalists? We are looking at that." " He really is an idiot.

    George Osbourne and Vodaphone

Saw some police outside the Vodafone shop in Western Road, but it seemed like only a small group of protesters.

    George Osbourne and Vodaphone

It's probably the constant repetition of 'we're all in this together', and then people's belief (whether right or wrong) that big businesses are not paying their fair share of tax. This, along with the belief (notably by the Institute of Fiscal Studies) that the Spending Review will be...

Paloma was looking very good on You're Fired last night. Think she has more of a Kiwi accent than an Aussie accent.
