We seem to have established an MO where players that play the game and respect the club will be supported in moving on to the next stage in their career, where players that take the piss have to wait for us to get maximum wonga.
This also troubles me greatly. I can only think that these people are "Republicans" who would rather vote for that tosser than any Democrat, however comparably decent.
I agree. Think 2 of the candidates are/were just top grade wind up merchants, but the other 2 actually go out to hurt people. Genuinely think it's unfair to put Zaha in the same category, much as I dislike him.
Didn't our own mad psychopath, Andone, get a retrospective ban for a bad tackle (nowhere near as bad as Williams') against WBA in the cup a couple of years ago?
Agree re moving on though even after this morning's news.
I certainly would be just as angry if it was an established player.
I have seen a couple of posts criticising FH for playing him the day after signing in a "meaningless match"?? One of these was on the BBC site. Dont get that at all.
For me he became one when scored the equalising 83rd minute pen v Cameroon in 1990. He was so calm, never in doubt, whilst I was bricking it.
England didn't do semi finals in those days.
