We're two episodes in. It's very compelling in a truly unpleasant way. A vile person who one hopes is never ever set free. Agree the acting is superb - the leads of course - but also special mention for the actor playing rhe niece.
The TV series gives the story more time to breathe. As a whodunnit it's also better as both the Esterhase and Bland characters are fleshed out as possible moles.
Anyone who knows the Kim Philby story can easily spot the villain though in both versions.
Think that happened at Orient's ground but yes ask him that. Think he also sustained a knee injury that day - just four games in for BHA - which caused long-term problems.
Yes it was. A group of us 13-year-olds stood nearby and sang songs about our schoolteachers. These were never picked up on the TV commentary, which we were sad about at the time but, looking back, was a good thing.
Well from memory we had a penalty to go 3-2 up. Horton scored the first which was retaken because of encroachment. His second attempt was saved but the keeper had moved so it went to a third go. Wardy took that one and scored.
I'm not 100% on this but that's my recollection from all those years...
The Conservative Party membership voted for this. Insulting the French President, oh yes very funny, well who is laughing now. Party full of mean-spirited narrow-minded prejudiced gammon types...always thought so now proved (sadly) right.
Haise was mentioned back in 2014 when we appointed Hyypia, recall that he was runner-up back then. Notwithstanding the 'he must be bad then' comments, this does show our leaders are interested in him. Maybe a rumour that has legs.
Bruno is Catalan, Potter a Brummie, Roberts a Geordie, Reid a Scot and Mcauley no idea but you may see where I'm going with this. All guys who have moved far from home for their careers and no doubt they'll move again. We shouldn't expect the same loyalty and identification that we have - it...
Fans can expect too much. Bruno gets the city yada yada - OK right there's your result. They're all employees and do what is best for their careers. Personally don't have a problem with it. We're the fans and always there...nothing will, ever ever change that. Almost uniquely - and it's our...
Maybe there should be two lists: best ever players and favourite players.
Mark Lawrenson would be in my first list along with around seven of the current squad, plus Bruno, Cucurella and two from another time.
Wardy an absolute favourite - and a very good player - alongside Nobby Horton, Sully...
Steve Wright was a cheerleader for Margaret Thatcher ( and Ronald Reagan) back in the '80s.
To be fair to him he has adapted to different eras,
meaning he's survived this long.
Q
He must be someone with a finger on where the UK mainstream is at any one time.
