I have grown up with dogs. Cavalier king charles spaniels in particular as my mum has bred them for the last 30+ years. As such i have had the good fortune of falling in love with many of these wondeful animals, and know first hand of the special love and attention a cavvy brings. Unfortunately...
Thanks for the advice! Gonna add a bit here; I live in Norway. Temps outside are currently sitting about -20, so i have no intention or desire to run outside so my running is done on a treadmill. As such a training partner is difficult, so took netflix to keep me company. I had...
How do you shut up that little voice in your head that says ‘i’m tired’? I’ve started running to try and lose weight, but i cant get more than 2km before my brain tells me i’m tired and need to stop. Now, i know this is bollocks because i’m a rugby ref and will happily run 10-15km in a game with...
I wouldn’t agree the ‘football world’ owes us an apology. The majority don’t care about *teams like brighton*. To them we’re just clubs their team plays. I would however agree that pundits should take more ownership of their comments and be more analytical and unbias, opposed to the jump on the...
A number of years ago, a young lady i slept with a couple of times got pregnant, but i didnt know at the time. I wore a condom, she was on the pill. The condom did not split, i know this ‘cause i’m always very careful about that kind of thing as an unwanted pregnancy is very near the top of my...
Thanks for sharing that, and it is very good advice. If i got hit by a bus tomorrow my biggest regret would be not being ‘present’ for my kids the day before rather than worrying about an illness i may or may not even get. Thanks Blue :)
Absolutely not the first person to say this. Its just the whole ‘incurable’ ‘progressive’ thing that terrifies me, and the fact theres no test til you have it, nothing you can do about it anyway and no ‘safe’ period. Ie i cant say it was 10 years ago i’ll be fine 🙄
Thats shit 😖 i’m really hoping that not doing it for that long (relatively), being outside and not doing it often has saved my arse. Keep reading things to reassure myself like ‘minimum 10 years exposure’ but i guess the only way to know for sure is an xray. Literally nothing i can do about it...
Haha, thanks. And i know a forum is not the place to go for medical advice. I have booked a drs appt, but like they said until i show symptoms theres little point in an xray, and i’m already out of the industry so theres not a lot else to do anyway. Just wanted to here peoples experience. I’d...
Ah, sorry. I think its an australian/new zealand term really. Been out the country for a few years so lost my english is now tainted 😅 do you have any experience/knowledge of this in your experience? What trade were you in? When i was on the tools everything was dry cut and no one wore masks as...
Not really, not that bad at any rate. and definitely not what i would consider regularly. Worked there 7 years and can remember 10 jobs, 15 max that needed cuts doing. And otherwise i’m «touch wood» quite healthy i think.
