Six released, four to be offered deals (Merged)

I'm aware of this, it's more the bigger issue of creating an environment that's pushed two managers out that I'm concerned by.

Six released, four to be offered deals (Merged)

A bit daft that we have to take these decisions before a new manager comes in, but I guess that's what happens when your manager leaves because you've undermined his authority two years in a row. Clearly no lessons learned from last year - smacks of arrogance on behalf of the powers that be.

Paul Barber responds on Albion managerial situation

Interesting bit from me is where he says the next manager will have the same responsibilities as Oscar and Gus. This suggests that nothing will change on the transfer front, which worries me as it's led to the last two managers leaving.

Do you have an end of season question for Tony Bloom? Here's your chance...

Apologies if it's already been asked: Why did Oscar Garcia leave? What is the structure around player acquisitions the Albion has in place?

[Albion] Garcia's reasons for leaving (from today's Argus, per Andy Naylor)

Couldn't agree more. I can't think of anyone who'd want to manage a team when they were not allowed to target the players they knew about and wanted to bring to the club.

I hope we do end up with Sherwood..

I don't think Gus was afraid to talk about them either. And that ended well.

What the f**k is going on at this club??

No, no, that was last year...

    Has Oscar Offered his Resignation?

    Er, no thanks.

    Recruitment policy

I agree. It is a big concern.

    [Albion] Oscars 'style'

Do you mean like at Forest, where the manager's substitutions led to us winning the match?

    [Albion] Oscars 'style'

I'm still not 100% convinced by Oscar, but this thread is ludicrous. We played well tonight, I think Oscar managed the team very well, and we are still in with a real shout if we match that level of performance on Sunday.

    Team for Derby

Yes, I have. There have been mistakes from him, as there have been from others. But overall I feel he has been very good and formed one of the best defensive partnerships in the league. To suggest he is "useless" is quite patently ridiculous and suggests that you are an idiot.

    Team for Derby

Ah yes, of course, I forgot our captain and current international had now been appointed official scapegoat (during an eight-game unbeaten run) now that our top scorer from 2011-12 has left.

If (IF!) this was to go to penalties on Sunday...

Spanish Dave (if on the pitch) CMS After that I'm struggling. Ward? Orlandi?

Man City fined £50m for FFP

Seems a bit perverse, doesn't it, that you dole out huge fines to minted teams.... for overspending?

Ooh yes, went there a couple of years ago and it was excellent.

    * The Championship - As it Stands *

I think in his mind, anything less than an 8-0 victory every week is underperforming. After all, we have the highest attendances in the division, don't you know?

    Football Manager 2014

My career on FM12 is continuing apace. After 4 and a half years at Leverkusen, including 3 league titles, 2 German cups and 2 Champions Leagues, Jose Mourinho was sacked as Real Madrid manager and I took the job with them sitting 7th in La Liga. The squad is old and underachieving, with many...
