I know he’s been a bit of a favourite on here, and I hope that he develops into the player he occasionally shows flashes of, but I thought he should have gone out on loan a while ago.

He’s one of those that strikes me as having potentially exceptional skill with a football, yet isn’t a professional footballer. The head’s not quite right.

He needs a season in the championship and then (if successful) a season on loan elsewhere in the PL, then bring him back and evaluate him. He needs time to mature imo.

He's got two years left on his contract so I suspect TB has different plans for him than you do.

I don’t doubt, if West Ham come in for him at the right price, all well and good.

There’s nothing to stop us doing something similar to Buonanotte though, where the player signs a new deal and then goes on loan.

There is zero chant of him signing a new deal then going on loan to the Championship.

Let’s just hope he develops into the player we thought we saw on his arrival then.

I can’t see him getting much (any?) game time if Gomez arrives in January and hits the ground running.

It would weaken the squad depth. He was very good off the bench vs Chelsea.

9/10 passes completed
4/6 ground duels won
1/2 dribbles completed
3 fouls won
2 shots (1 on target)

That's the type of impact you need coming off the bench. He's not like Sarmiento. He'd see himself as way above The Championship.

Maybe, but would he be that averse to signing a new deal and going on loan to Sevilla or somewhere?

I don’t doubt that he does, but my personal opinion is that he’s desperately in need of a reality check. I personally rated Sarmiento’s performances in pre-season as being worthy of keeping him around. He’s done his time on loan.

As @Commander said, perhaps he’ll accept a loan abroad where the level is Championship but it’s that nation’s top league.

If the lad is frustrated I understand it. It feels like Enciso is well down the pecking order, the club has gone out and spent big on forwards and the manager seems to prefer other players.

In the few chances he has had, his performances have been mixed.

I think he'll move on in January for an alarmingly low fee

That is a possibility.
But equally he has just come back from injury and been used in all but 1 of our games he has been available for.

Huerzeler's substitutes are every bit as important as the starting 11.
Enciso is the ideal impact sub. I'm sure he'll get plenty of minutes.

He needs to start making regular impacts from the bench if he wants to be considered as a starter, it’s that simple.

He’s a exceptionally talented footballer on personal ability but the decision making (overplaying) still needs work

Hopefully it clicks

What's he done? 'Liked' a post from a friend of his? Is that it?

OK he doesn't come across as being very bright and it's starting to look like he has an ego which doesn't really match his contribution to date, but that's probably 80% of pro footballers. Remember this guy is a big name in his home country, he's used to being treated like a superstar and he's kind of behaving like he should be here too without really having achieved that much yet, that goal v City might have been his Connelly/Spurs moment.

I thought his performance v Chelsea was his best since the injury for what it's worth.

Sarmiento's attitude has been great. Unfortunately, this alone doesn't make him a PL level footballer, as backed up by him mainly being used from the bench in the Championship by both West Brom and Ipswich last season and Burnley this season - although early days for the latter.

Enciso performances early last season show he has the potential to really make his mark at the top level if his attitude is right.

He could have messaged his friend privately rather than liking stuff publicly. It’s about time Enciso started backing up his arrogance by delivering for the team. Otherwise I’d have no complaints if he was sold in January.

Not trying to encourage a pile-on here, but Kami Doyle - who is only a year younger than Enciso and has no known relationship with Caicedo or anyone else at Chelsea except possibly Lavia - has liked at least three Chelsea players' posts celebrating Saturday's result and isn't catching anywhere as much flak. Again, not looking for either player to be tarred and feathered but one bothers me a lot more than the other.

Yep, he could have, probably should have. I'm guessing like me you are the other side of 40? The constantly online world these guys inhabit is alien to me on many levels this being the most significant.
I don't do anything on mainstream social media accept follow a few people and companies that I find interesting. I rarely post anything and not about football.
As an example I think the ~50 yo Shef Wed 'fan' has now probably worked out that X is not the pub. Yet for Julio and his generation X is the pub.

However, this is how stats deceive. The shot on target was a free kick so slow Sanchez caught it. The off target was miles wide.

He is entitled and self centered. No doubt he has quality but I'm getting a bit fed up with players performing average at best on an inconsistent basis and thinking they deserve to start every game.
He massively needs to up his game. Like I say the quality is there but the application is nowhere near it.
