I genuinely thought he was in his late 20s/early 30s when he came on for them against us the other week. Could not believe it when I saw he has just turned 25! He looks like an old man on his last legs.

someone mentioned that in the preseason JP had quite some following in Japan. then this popped up in my youtube feed:
I don't speak a word of Japanese (I did recognized "Ben White" though I'm not sure recognizing another name said in a foreign accent counts as speaking the language - might of helped having his picture on the screen too), but it seems they went in deep in JP here with lots of pictures from when he was a kid.

Apropos of JPVH's excellent cross to Hinshelwood on Sunday, a throwback to his brilliant assist against Stoke in the FA Cup in January. Lovely one two with Pascal then the bending pass to Pedro
