So many f***ing twats get on their high f***ing horse about a tongue-in-cheek piece in some tucked-away colour supplement.

I couldn't give two hoots one way or the other. There are enough accidents on country roads arising from blinkered drivers, deluded speed-freak motorcyclists and cyclists who think they're Mark Cavendish or Chris Hoy to make everyone a guilty party, but it's always got to be black or white on here, and it's soooo DULL.

Exactly, there are far to many avoidable deaths on the roads, about 3,500 each year.
So why should it be ok to admit to dangerous driving, suffer no consequence, thereby saying dangerous driving is ok.

The sheer stupidity of the whole article made me doubt the validity of it, hence the thread title. But sadly JM's subsequent reactions has me thinking this did happen, causing the reaction it got.

I'M BACK!!.

I've given this a great deal of reflective thought and have decided I'm still 100% right.
But I will add a few caviates (sp).
When I find it, I'll post the youtube clip of George Hincapie falling sideways down a ditch, because he has bonked (run out of all energy), that's funny.
Had the cyclists been right across the road, on pavement etc, then they 'would have had it coming'.
But this comes across as an innocent group of cyclists on the road, being targeted, intentionally by a man in a machine, capable of doing serious damage.

100% respect, you're f***ing persistent !
Shall we just agree to disagree ?:lolol:

I'm not a cyclist [well only VERY occassionally] but I'm with the wannabee-Cavendish's on this one.

He is a knob. It was an utterly knobbish thing to do, and an even more knobbish thing to commit to print.

I genuinely would LOVE to see him hauled in and charged with dangerous driving. I hope one of the cyclists comes forward and makes a complaint, and then his own article is used as evidence against him.*

*This is all of course assuming that that attention seeking goon didn't just make the ENTIRE thing up, to make himself look 'cool' in some twisted way.
