Why's he a bellend ? Because he's done something you disagreed with ?
Oh and bellend ? Are you 12 !
No, 'bellend' because he admitted to driving with intent to harm other road users. Not because he did something I "disagree with" :shootself That, in my mind, not only makes him a massive bellend, but a huge prick, a giant twat and a complete **** rolled into one :bigwave:

If your talking equal rights, maybe we should bring in Tax & Mot's for bikes and compulsory Insurance too ?

I would f***ing love it if they did that, and I'm a cyclist. It would get a good proportion of the idiots off the road.

And I'm sorry, but anyone who thinks this guy is anything but a complete and total wanker for running someone off the road is a tit. Would it be so funny if it had been a pedestrian? Or if he'd actually hit one of the cyclists and knocked him/her off their bike?

Cyclists are fine as long as they remember that THEY are vulnerable. They can winge all they want when they get hurt, just don't expect sympathy and keep out of the way in future.

Yeah, trying to hurt, injure, and kill people is like soooo cool, I bet you're really hard.
Tw@ts

Where does it say he tried to hurt, injure and kill someone ? As I read it he roared past and blasted his horn ! Hardly trying to kill someone is it ?
And as for being me being "hard" that doesn't really come into it does it, and was there any real need to call me a twat ? I bet you must be really "hard" to call me names ! :jester:

Your finding it amusing instead concerned that someone could be inconsiderate and down right dangerous, kind of makes which side of the fence you are on.

Roared past in a battery operated car!, did you read it?

Posturing when removed from an incident (hold me back boys), or in this case cocooned in your car while laughing at other's misfortune does, in my case make you 'hard' in the patronising sense of the word.

As for calling you a tw@t.
Fair enough I don't know you, but judging you, only from your comments here, I stand by the fact that:-

You sir are indeed a tw@t.

Look I ride a motorbike so yes I do know about car drivers and how they are nice and safe and I know a cyclist has even less protection than us bikers, and I apologise I did indeed miss the fact he was in an electric car, but the fact remains he only blasted his horn at a group of unsuspecting cyclists out for a jolly in the countryside ! He didn't set out to kill anybody !
I'm glad you are so easy to jump to the conclusion that I'm a twat, I look forward to one day meeting you to prove otherwise, and likewise for you to prove that your not a pompous cycling lunatic with no sense of humour

Ok, ok, lets come out of the playground, no more name calling or hair pulling.

I'm genuinely very surprised that you are a biker, hence the desire to raise the level of the discussion (It couldn't get much lower)
How can you find JM's actions amusing.
He drove silently behind some cyclists and at the most dangerous point scared them with the sole purpose of causing harm.

Being the 'inferior' road uses, we are fully aware of how dangerous this is.

How may times has a badly driven car, nearly ended it for you?
Were they amusing accidents?

Personally, I feel 'know my place' helps me greatly when out cycling.
I'm prone to bollock my fellow cyclists, and take the drivers side, than blame car users.

Sorry, where does anyone say there was intent to harm anyone?
err there:-

Martin, host of BBC One's Saturday Kitchen, said in the Mail on Sunday he had intentionally forced the group into a hedge causing them "sheer terror".

It was the best thing he had "ever seen in my rear-view mirror", he said.

Look I really can't be bothered to argue, he shouldn't have done what he did, but he didn't actually hurt anyone.
It's obvious the cyclists are milking this to make a point, if he had driven his car at them and mown them all down in cold blood then I would say you have every reason to get onto your high horse.
Call me twisted if you want but I find the image of a load of Lycra clad, helmet wearing cyclists, pulling themselves out of the great big bramble bush waving their fists at the naughty celebrity, just a little bit amusing !!

Well here's hoping you and yours are thrown into, god knows what, by someone who was 'only having a laugh'.

I just can't see any part of this remotely funny.

Calm down dear. Ofcourse I don't think hurting, then injuring, then killing someone is cool...

However, the thought of an angry cyclist being shoved into a bush in full cyclist gear (orange glasses an' all) does, I admit, make me giggle a little.

... Oh and you don't need the 't' after the @.

I never realised that, shows how much I swear on here.

I can't help it, I can't leave this, I know I should.

If I caused 2k's worth of damage (the cost of my bike) to each of say 10 cars in a line.
Would those car owners laugh and chalk it up to high spirits, whilst shrugging it off saying 'well nobody was hurt'.
Thrown at speed into a hedge that ISN'T made of feathers and kittens is no guarentee that nobody was hurt.
