I haven't been to that many really, so a bit hard to comment, but of those that I have:

1 France - just a stunning variety of countryside, of every type
= 1 Spain - just returned from my first trip to the mainland and the food is better than anywhere I've been. I would hate the English hoards on the Costas though. The mountains of Mallorca are beautiful too.
3 UK - England - Pubs, Lake District and of course Brighton; Scotland - incredible peace and remoteness so close to home
4 USA - Only been to New York but so many places there I'd like to visit.
5 Belgium - Surprisingly! Incredibly friendly people and great food.

I expect places like Japan, New Zealand and Thailand would be high on my list if I'd been.

Ecuador solely because it has the Galapagos Islands, which is like nowhere else on Earth and utterly astonishing.

I'm surprised no mention of Canada so far...

I'm afraid I was put off Canada for life by well-meaning ex-pat relatives who used to send us a wretched publication called 'Beautiful British Columbia' every quarter. Every single issue had a cover featuring a shimmering blue lake, trees with golden leaves and a couple of old codgers in sensible cardigans. The contents were very much the same. Different lakes, different trees, different codgers in cardies, but otherwise exactly the same. Swore as a kid I would never ever go there, and not ever seen anything to make me reconsider.

UK - There is no such diverse country of its size in terms geography, culture, history etc
Belgium - Love it. People, food, history, just great
India - Eye opening, fun, what's not too like.
Spain - Amongst other things, has the Canary Islands........
US - Never fails to amaze me, not all positive but....

Hang on a minute. I thought you were ignoring me? So are you dishonest on top of being a massive :tosser:. Or just an attention seeking little child?

On this subject, I went out on Saturday and when I next logged in, the Gaza 2 thread had disappeared. Any idea why? Its the main lead on Channel 4 news tonight (and wholly depressing it is too), yet the NSC thread has gone?

Think it went because of the vile posts being posted by the Hamas supporters trying to justify the legitimacy of firing thousands of rockets into Israel to civilians, but can't stand it when Israel snapped. Ho hum!

Its a shame Mods don't explain their actions. An extremely important (and of course emotive) subject which deserves continued discussion (along with all the other non football related threads on NSC) in my opinion.

A couple of posters (not me for once) couldn't control themselves. Admittedly difficult when you have people such as Mr Foster revelling in the deaths of innocent civilians.

Ahh yes, because anyone who isn't pro-Israeli apartheid must be a member of Hamas

So ban those posters rather than stop a debate which is dominating world media at present.
