Are you going strong or rotating? I think a mixed approach.

I'm rotating out Gross, Dunk, Lamptey and Welbeck. I want Moder and Fati to get the minutes to get themselves match fit for our coming run of tough games. I want Veltman, Ferguson, Estupinan and Baleba to get the chance to play themselves into form.

-----------------Steele
-Veltman --Van Hecke -- Igor -- Estupinan
------------Moder -- Baleba
-----Buonanotte -- Fati -- Adingra
----------------Ferguson

Verbruggen / Lamptey / Dunk / Webster / Barco / Gross / Enciso / Lallana / Welbeck

Veltman to get the armband and the tricky job of keeping Neto quiet

Hoping (and expecting) De Zerbi will play the best available.
Not convinced Wlebz can start 3 in 8 days, so Ferguson probably gets in.
Although Fati with Buonanotte behind him, might be fun too.

Personally I would rather give Moder the WBG vacancy over Baleba, but not precious about it, and will trust De Zerbi's view.
If Mitoma is fit he should play and rest Lamptey,

Leave Fergie at home. Been like playing with 10 men when he's in the side lately. Lad needs a break.
I think the break he needs is a lucky one on the pitch. He worked hard versus Everton and would rather have Welbeck's know-how for Forest and Roma. That said, Ansu Fati needs game time too, so half each for Ferguson and Fati?

I'm still annoyed that he didn't manage to touch in the fifth goal on the line, at Sheffield United.

It is not like it was ACTUALLY Adingra's goal anyway (I can't believe he was awarded it, tbh).

And i'm still trying to convince myself he had a late realisation that he could have been offside so pulled his foot away rather than he missed it. I accept I may be kidding myself on this point

I‘d rather we went as strong as we can so Dunky and Pascal are certs in my team

Steele
Veltman Van Hecke Dunk Lamptey
Gross Baleba
Adingra Buonanotte Mitoma(if fully fit)
Ferguson

could be 120 mins in theory so subs used accordingly

good idea.

I thought Ferguson had a decent game against Everton.

Have to be honest, with all we've got coming up, this feels like a game too much at the moment. Am not super filled with hope we'll be playing Coventry in the next round

Agreed.

Ferguson seems to be lacking in rhythm & confidence. Not playing him is not going to help. (quite the opposite)

This looks good to me:

Steele
Veltman Van Hecke Dunk Estupinan
Gross Moder
Adingra Fati Lamptey
Ferguson
