Went for 28 Euros in Paris this year for a beer and a glass of wine in a street cafe.

I think the most expensive drink vs volume I've paid is £10 for the thimble full of champagne that you get at the top of The Shard. I even had to ask them to top it up. Still, it seemed rude not to partake, especially as the Mrs was in the nearby All Bar One as she was too scared to go up with me and the sprog.

Over £100 in New York for 4 cocktails, swanky bar and all that. But beautifully made and where else can you a lychee lemongrass snowball? Besides I was very very drunk... :)

August 1985 in the Monaco Sporting Club - to be fair entry was free and The Platters were playing - but the equivalent at the time of £56 for two small bottles of beer. Big lesson learnt that night and never been so staggered by alcohol prices since when you think you can get away with it.

Overheard on a train at Hampstead today;

Ist young lady: 'I paid £36 for two gin and tonics last night'.

2nd young lady: 'Thats out of order. I mean you expect to pay £16 for a g&t but not £18'.

1 x Jack Daniels & coke
1 x Glass of dry white wine

Burj Al Arab Bar

Cost = £96

As ridiculous as that sounds at the time it seemed quite reasonable after dropping £600 on dinner for 2....

This is genuinely from the drinks menu at a hotel in Park Lane a few years back. Cocktails served with a diamond on the side. I didn't get a round in.......

At Pacha in Ibiza years ago, I was chuffed because I got a group of chicks into the 'VIP' area, bought a round of drinks and it was about 300 euros for 8 drinks. I decided that club 'VIP' areas are shit after that, unless you actually are a VIP that is I suppose.

Mates 40th in Thailand sadly I couldn't be there as I was in the UK , so rang him to wish him a happy birthday and he was in another friends beer bar.
So in Thailand in beer bars they have a bell.............you ring the bell / you buy everyone in the bar at that moment a drink.
Talk to the friend who's the owner is it busy answer " Ye pretty packed " but think **** it it's his 40th , so say ring the bell I'll sort you out when I get back..................

A nice round £500.........
