He did a decent job under Coppell - apart from the EMBARRASMENT of Palace away...

But yes, I think the issue I have with him is that he has got new contracts on the basis of a few good games a number of seasons ago.

To be fair to Mayo, he was bloody good under Coppout, and he did a decent job in the championship seasons. The problem people like you and I have with him, I am guessing, is the fact we've been rewarding him for those successes for 4 years now.

I think KM has been okay, not great. If Desperate Dan Harding had not left us for Leeds then Dan would be the first choice left back still I suspect, although he does seem to have gone downhill at Ipswich last season.

When Mayo came in for a few games last season when Richards was unavailable I thought he did reasonably well, not spectacular, not awful either.

In an ideal world Richards will sign for us instead of being a loanee, if he impresses Mickey, who does know a few things about being a left back.

Surely your issue should be with the club rather than Kerry though?

I am not saying I HATE the man. The question is least favourite player. Mayo is my least favourite because, quite simply, I don't think he is very good.

I don't doube he loves Brighton and tries his best but I just don't think he is up to it and that we look a worse team with him playing.

Hence, my least favourite player.

I don't really have a player that I continually focus on as least favourite, but so far I'd say Livermore needs to prove his worth...I am sure he will and not too concerned, but just will be keeping an eye on his contributions for a while...

As I've just said though, you have to blame Mayo too as he knows he won't get first team football here but still takes the money rather than drop a level or two in order to play each week.

Surely his first loyalties should be to his wife and kids in terms of maximising his income, rather than dropping down a couple of divisions to appease some people on the internet? If the club offers him a contract, then why not sign it, what would you do under similar circumstances?

Why on earth not ???

Sometimes your tone is so patronising.

"Why on earth not?" - because once again you parade your apparent inside knowledge but are not prepared to support it in any way. It does look like you are desperate for attention. If you can't back it up or even discuss it why bring it into the thread. It's so pointless and irritating.

People are bound to ask for more info - you inevitably say that you can't share it - once again apparently seeking to prove what a vital cog in the Albion wheel you are - but actually only manage to wind everyone up. Why bother.

And then you compound it with a "it's bing handled internally" - once again showing that you apparently have inside info that you are unable t share with the great unwashed but that you are able to hint at in yet another act of self-aggrandisement.

Here is what you could have said:

McLeod - haven't really liked the way he has handled himself since he got here (no need to hint at secret MI5 type inside info)

or

McLeod

or

McLeod - think he has some flaws

or

McLeod - wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't put his foot in it.

Or a million other ways of making the point.

Do you SERIOUSLY not understand why your continual habit of doing this irks people? It's one thing to share some inside info - for which we are all grateful - it's quite another being the kid in the playground who goes round saying "I've got a secret" and then not telling anyone so that they get everyone's attention.

Yes, but job satisfaction and career prospects must come into it. You're a lecturer I believe, so if I said to you that you have a choice between making the tea at Cambridge or running the show at somewhere less established, which would you choose?

I'd probably choose the one that pays the mortgage the best to be honest, especially if it didn't meant I had to uproot the family where my family and friends have been for the last 30 years.

Again, Im not sure Kerry is the best person in the world to be defending with the 'best for the family' card...

Didn't he adopt his (ex) wife's kids?

Don't think you can really just bugger off completely a couple of years later....
