Just because someone isn't brilliant at their job, is that good enough reason to dislike them though?

My least favourite players of all time are those who just took the money and didn't put in the effort.

Contenders include

Don Shanks
Les Berry
That striker who scored against Chester in the Fans United match up there, whose name eludes me at present, but kissed the badge in a FEEBLE attempt to ingratiate himself towards the faithful, but clearly had been taking the piss and the money for some time.

I've gone for Johnny Dixon. I have nothing against the bloke, I just don't think he'll ever prove he was worth that vastly inflated fee and that money could have been spent more wisely elsewhere.

Excellent thread. However, I don't want to appear negative, so I will compile my FULL list, from favourite to least favourite:

1- Michel Kuipers
2- Nicky Forster
3- Joel Lynch
4- Glenn Murray
5- Jake Robinson
6- Dean Cox
7- Andrew Whing
8- Adam Virgo
9- Colin Hawkins
10- Kevin McLeod
11- Steven Thomson
12- Gary Hart
13- John Sullivan
14- Tommy Elphick
15- Adam Hinshelwood
16- Doug Loft
17- David Livermore
18- Sam Gargan
J9- onny Dixon
20- Scott Chamberlain
21- Joe Gatting
22- Wes Fogden
23- Adam El Abd
24- Kerry Mayo
25- Tommy Fraser

It's based on LOADS of things, so I admit now there will be no logic to most people. The new players are obviously tricky, as it's basically just first impressions that come into play. However, it's hard to win my affections, so may I just take this chance to say well done to most of the above:clap:

What don't you like about Tommy Elphick?

Nothing wrong with him at all. I should point out that of the 25, I actually think the first 18 are all decent and have no reason to dislike them, the next few I just haven't seen enough of to care about either way, and it's really only the bottom few that irritate me.

As for Elphick, I realise we've done fantastically well to produce players of his calibre. He's got a fair bit of potential, and I've no objection to seeing him start games for us. I just don't rate him as highly as most people on nsc seem to YET. I may do in the future, but I think he's got to a) work hard on certain aspects of his game like passing the ball, and b) prove he's not just a one season wonder. If he does both of those, he'll SHOOT up the list by this time next year. I'd be a mug to say he's a bad player (because he's not), but half-way is about where I'd judge him for now, with the potential to improve.

Fair enough. I think he is the one player I have seen in the stripes in the last few years who has the potential to grace the Premiership (except for McShane).
