why didnt you just lie and get of at the next stop. You dont have to tell them anything, theyre not the police. I would have just walked offf down the train and told them to politely f*** off. What are they going to do - throw you off the train at the next stop? Hopefully!!

First class is reserved for customers who dont want to sit with the riff raff in Standard class. The ticket inspector was only doing his job , keeping scummy oiks well away from the posh people.

Which would be fine if there was actually any difference between First and Standard class other than them throwing a small white bit of cloth over the headrest. At least in the old daze the landed gentry had their own compartment complete with sliding door to shut out the riff raff.

You are simply asking for help to avoid a situation you are clearly in the wrong for, had you not been in the 1st class compartment with a 2nd class ticket, this would not have happened, I don't think i am the thick one.

Had the standard seating not been largely full we wouldn't have been in First Class and this would not have happened. Read my explanation again. We wouldn't have set their through choice of wanting 'better conditions' we sat there because of the situation we were in. Entirely different to what you are suggesting.

The situation you are advising is merely the convenience of sitting together. The fact is you sat in 1st class without a 1st class ticket which is an offence punishable with a fine which is what you got.

When you purchased the 2nd class ticket it gave you no right to a seat just a right to travel.

Apart from the tea towel over the headrest you'll find that the seats dont have dogshit smeared on them where knobheads have put their feet up on the seats.
