Reading between the lines you really really don't want to play anything aimed at that demographic do you? And unless my selection of chart stuff doesn't get overwhelming approval you'll view that as case proven - the kids prefer Sham 69.

Christ sake man. Choose your Led Zep and Oasis songs from this thread, let someone else play them and come and sit in the Family Stand and see how it goes down. As I have said earlier, no one else seems to hear it or is that bothered so please please use it as an opportunity to grab the kiddies attention. We need every trick in the book to keep them wanting to come to Withdean. You've had 10 years of your stuff. It's been your sole choice.

Not sure there's any point me choosing a selection in a few weeks time, to be honest. As a one-off it will achieve the square root of sod all. I think Dave's comment about you not being in the business of playing commercial stuff speaks volumes.

Everything I play is commercial, in the charts, lost of it in the charts recently, ie kids are hearing it.... Are you really telling me that the only stuff that they like over there is computerised generic pop? When we had our Hit there were loads of people on here saying their kids liked it.....and I've got to go, got loads of family stuff to sort and a beer/music festival to organise at the Ropetackle tonight! I really don't know how so many people find the time to spend so long on here....I do see your point Buzzer, get a Cd to the box tomorrow and I'll play something but I have to get on with my life, I have spend more time on here in the last 24 hours than it can cope with!

What a whirl your life is eh?

I don't think you do see my point, to be honest. You have to go for the common ground and the MOST popular stuff that MOST kids listen to.

By the way, the deal was for 13th March can't get a cd to you for tomorrow.

To start with how about this from home grown Brighton lad Johnny Wakelin 'Muhammad Ali'. Arguably, singing the name of the greatest sportsman ever can only be a morale booster for the players/fans - especially if en masse we sing along "I'm Aliiiiiiiiiiiiiii.... Catch me if you can"

Next I think we need to learn the words to Sussex by the Sea:

On a personal level I would love to hear Bank Robber or it's B Side 'Rockers Galore UK tour' every time before kick off

For a rousing upbeat song that all demographics can appreciate it has to be Valerie....

I think ATS played this shortly after the Falmer confirmation. I heard it from the garden of The Sportsman...always cheers me up and I thought it was an especially apt.
