I was 2 when I was given my first record player meaning the first single I ever bought with my own money was this:

The first ALBUM I bought was this, from the foyer in the Odeon when I was taken to see the film.

I'm in love - By the Fourmost. Bought for about 6 shillings and 8 pence from a record shop half way up St James Street on the right hand side. Went home and played it on my Dansette record player.

Embarrassingly mine was also a Shadows record - The Savage. I also bought Neil Sedaka - Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen at the same time.

First album, which I feel better about, was The Beach Boys - Summer Days

I bought this with my pocket money from Woolworths in St. James Street. 99p I think.

I later bought a 1959 Morris Minor. Weird.

I also had to play on a wind up gramophone with a steel needle.
