I was 2 when I was given my first record player meaning the first single I ever bought with my own money was this:

R-150-1573823-1229458109.jpeg
I'm happy to admit this colouring in is my own effort!

The first ALBUM I bought was this, from the foyer in the Odeon when I was taken to see the film.

Yes, I know, with musical taste like this I'm WAY too cool for this board...

I can see this thread only working for us old'uns, but if your download hasn't got a cover or an associated album please feel free to post a link to a YouTube clip instead.

I'll start the ball rolling with this effort I purchased in 1978 as a result of some heavy TV advertising.......

There is quite a well known (and regular user) member on NSC who will be very grateful you bought this album I'm sure :)

haha, thanks for the memory! My mum and dad had a Darts cassette that we used to listen to all the time in the car driving across Spain.

Brighton boys. Saw them at The Richmond in 1972. Really good live.

Embarrassingly mine was also a Shadows record - The Savage. I also bought Neil Sedaka - Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen at the same time.

First album, which I feel better about, was The Beach Boys - Summer Days

I bought this with my pocket money from Woolworths in St. James Street. 99p I think.

I later bought a 1959 Morris Minor. Weird.

Either "Blueberry Hill" or "Ain't That A Shame" by Fats Domino unless they were the A and B sides of the same 78 in which case both!
I also had to play on a wind up gramophone with a steel needle.
