Pretty sure it was Aldershot away 1974 when we lost 1-0 and they scuffed up the penalty spot before we took it....

Bristol Rovers, at Eastville, about '75?
2-2
A bit like Withdean with a greyhound track round the pitch.

A bit of an eye-opener this one for you. Lots of trouble around the ground. Mine was portsmouth away 1973, this also with lots of trouble around the station, to the ground and back again. I think we lost 2-0.
Mine was Portsmouth away too, although it was September 1972, we lost 2-0, so guess it must have been the same game.

Southend in the mid 70’s. We lost but not sure of the score.
I’ve been to Southend three or four times and never seen us win.

Southampton at the old Dell.... 77/78 season.... That ground was a cramped shambles of a place, with a fair sprinkling of thugs.
