For me, it was definitely this, from a pithy Wikipedia:

In the fourth round of the 1987 Wimbledon, Connors defeated Mikael Pernfors, ten years his junior, 1-6, 1-6, 7-5, 6-4, 6-2 after having fallen behind 1-6, 1-6, 1-4 and again 0-3 in the fourth set.

The snarling old gunslinger just refused to lay down and die, I watched every ball of that game and it was brilliant stuff. But which is YOUR favourite Wimbledon memory?

Probably when Ivanisevic won the title and you could see how much it meant to him. The sheer passion and emotion shown when he hit the winning point epitomises the gallant effort needed to win such a prestigious tournament.

Far too many others to mention.

The tantrum by Jeff Tarango was quite fun as well.

Has to be Ivanisevic finally winning for me.

There are a lot - and to be fair, Henman has provided many in the last decade, there have been some epic wins.

But the highlights for me have to be Goran beating Rafter in the 2001 final, Agassi beating Goran in 92, the Connors v Pernfors match, and both the Borg v McEnroe finals, especially 1980. And there have been a stack of great semi-finals, Rafter has been involved in some classics.

Live, it's probably Henri Leconte bombing out Ivan Lendl on Centre Court, early-ish 80s. He was a bit like Cantona, erratic, brilliant, unpredictable, hated in France and (mostly) loved over here.

"Unser Boris'" explosion onto the scene in 1985 was superb - he's been "exploding" into various "scenes" ever since, the highly-charge little schmutzpott.

I saw Becker there the first year he won it. It was out on an outside court, maybe a quarter-final/last 16 against Tim Mayotte. He's 17, down a set in the fourth, twisted his ankle, had a long injury break then came back, won a tie break and then the decider. I think before Queen's that year you could have got any price for him, maybe 500-1, but he came in to 50s after winning that.
