I'm with weird one voting for GAMMON. Absolutely delicious with thick gravy and english mustard. Smoked or unsmoked it matters not. Nice for sandwiches the next day as well.

Its the only roast meat without its own specific gravy variety which makes it the FLAIR choice as far as I'm concerned.

Goose. Not so much for the meat itself, but the excessive amount of fat, which you can roast your potatoes in.

That said, we had friends round last night, so I cooked lamb shanks in a red wine, honey and orange sauce in the slow cooker for about seven hours during the day. Bloody marvellous they came out.
