Your favourite European side ?

Got to be the two Italian teams I have supported in "real life" - ie by living there.

AC Siena, currently playing their first season ever in Serie A.

And US Montalcino, currently enjoying life at the top of the Tuscan Eccellenza League B (six wins out of six games, so far), having also won promotion at the end of last season.

Deportivo La Corunna for me. Blue and white stripes that came from nowhere to be one of the big boys. I dream of Albion doing the same.

Even support them against Premiership teams, especially Man U

Of interest (or not). The captain of Depor is a guy called Fran (short for fransico) who is a local boy, started palying when Depor were proping up div 2. Has played for Spain and has had chances of moving to so called bigger clubs. Always turned it down.

My Uncle is a season ticket holder and has been for twenty odd years.

Deportivo la Coruna for me too and here's why :

Went out there for a few days in 2000 when Arsenal played them in Uefa cup and based myself in Compostela, an hour south (where that fan died last week). Stayed in Coruna night of game and after ended up going out all night til 7am on a bar crawl with a group of Coruna fans - two of whom had gone to the game in London. Said I was coming up again for the game v Valencia on the sunday and basically met up with a geezer called Carlos and we stood amidst the Riazor Blues (now disbanded due to incident above) behind goal and Depor' won 2-0. And of course there's been the CL games since.

Plus Coruna is a great place, great beach, a rather different part of Spain - Galicia, and the sort of club you'd like to follow anyway, not mainstream but always up there.

I've just thought - Deportiveseagull, does one sometimes frequent The Temple Bar on Western Road. We may talked about this before...

I should add I've done a total of six grounds in Spain, the most recent being Valencia but if I was to get a Spanish shirt it would be the blue and white stripes of Depor'

Porto (blue & white) and Ajax (total football on a relatively small budget - De Meer only holds 22,000 although bigger games are obviously played at the Amsterdam Arena)

Juventus, because I like Turin !

If you like Turin then you should support Torino. Very much the city's club in a Man City stylee. Juve are the ManU of Italy, ie if you support them you're almost certainly from the Italian version of Milton Keynes or Guildford rather than Turin. Have big supporters clubs all over Italy but are hated by every one else (including me). Torino are my Italian club as they play in the same colours as Hearts.

For me it would have to be Real Marid as they're the only side I've seen outside teh Prem. Not a bad stadium but not as good as Falmer. The atmoshere was crap. Mind you there was only 67,000 there at the time...
